Last month, I mentioned that there are several strategies to expand your digital marketing. Some involve elaborate digital ad campaigns on Google or the Meta-verse, but some can be as simple as making sure your free opportunities are handled properly.
One of these strategies is what we used to call “Google My Business”, but was reinvented as “Google Business Profiles”. This is the information that appears on the right side of a search results page when you search for your organization. It has all the basics a user is looking for when finding a company including your location, hours of operation, photos, contact info, as well as ratings and reviews that are pulled in.
The Google Business Profile now feeds Google Maps which is currently dominating local search. Whereas we used to “Google” where a business is located, most are entering their search terms directly into Google Maps. This is powerful stuff!
If you already own and control your Google Business Profile, the process is fairly simple to update your information. If you don’t own your listing, we are happy to walk you through the process or handle it for you!
This may seem like “low-hanging fruit” when it comes to Search Engine Optimization, but it’s truly the foundation of your presence in Google and can help make the difference between you and your competitors’ interactions in just a few simple steps.
